altenator?

some one please help:
im having problems with my 325i.every few days my battery goes dead and i have to recharge it. when i am driving and it starts to die all of the light on my dash go on and my acceleration goes dead.right after i charge it the car runs fine but when i am at a stop or in park the idle pulses. is itt the altenator and are the 2 problems related?

The alternator is a good place to start. But other electrical issues may need to be hunted down. Best of luck!

I would say alternator.

Check the battery voltage not running 12-12.85v running should be 13-14.5v with little variation with increased revs.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be a blown Battery light and a worned out Voltage Regulator.Hope it helps find your issues.
