in the US how much would u guys have to pay for the air filter, fuel filter and oil filter at the dealer? Here in NZ i rang up tday and it came to about $80 USD inc GST. so does that seem fair?

hmm im not in the states im in canada but that even seems a bit high, i think fuel filter may be quite expensive but the oil filter is cheap and the airfilter cant be more that 20 bucks.. maybe a yank can quote a price on the fuel filter..

sounds about right...
air filter - 25
fuel - 25
and oil - 15

=65 bucks!

here the fuel filter is about $15 more than the air! but its all genuine so its all good!

Can some1 plz check how much oil goes into a 2L e36 after an oil change, my haynes says 6L but I rather trust a bentley but dont have one!

i put 8qts in my car... the filter alone, takes 1 qt...

^^ He has a 2L engine, though. I am sure 8 qt will be too much. I would trust the Haynes manual -- they won't get something basic like that wrong.

6 liters is correct for that engine. Why buy from the dealer? Air: $15, Fuel: $17, & Oil: $5 online (AutohauzAZ). Even with international shipping & customs charges I think you'd still save?

alright i'll ring up bmw on monday and check just to make sure but yeah 6L seems right. yeah that online idea seems better, coz i still have to get the oil too! ok thnx guys
