All Alum. radiator for 328i with AUTO TRANSMISSION

Hello everyone!

I have a '97 328i convertible with an automatic transmission.

My stock radiator just cracked and came apart at the upper hose neck. ( of course!)

So, I have been searching ebay for an all-aluminum radiator but the only ones I see currently available are for manual trans only.

Does anyone know of another source where I can get the right one?

The manual radiators are around $150 so I am hoping to stay under $200 for one that has the trans fluid hose ports.

Failing that, can I place a trans cooler in front of a new all aluminum radiator?

The Mishmoto aluminum rads are toted as the best aluminum rads for the E36. On ebay you can find them for $200 or less.

Failing that what retailers have you tried? ECS Tuning, Bimmerworld, and Turner Motorsports all carry them.

Thank you. I see the very nice looking Mishimoto rads on ebay but none with an integrated ATF cooler. They recommend buying their universal add-on trans fluid cooler to mount on the front of the rad apparently above or beside the AC coil.

$240.00 for the rad plus $70.00 for the trans cooler; $310.00 total plus shipping.

I'll check the other suppliers you mentioned.

The existing trans cooler easily transplants onto the aluminium radiator. Fitted one to my E36 auto very easily using the stock parts.
