| Alarm/Siren troubles!!
Hello. I recently purchased a fatory alarm/keyless entry module for my 97 318i (the two button one) and It was working awesome for a few days then suddenly it stopped chirping on the lock and unlock and the siren no longer goes off. I have tested the siren, I know its good becasue it was loud as hell when when i hooked it up to 12 volts. I took apart the siren thinking it might be a battery backup gone bad but there was no battery inside. Also if I put my ear up to the siren it is making a very very faint noise all the time. I am getting continuity and voltage all the way up through the alarm harness and the inside cicuitry of the module looks flawless no burn marks or anything, so I really dont know what the problem could be? Any suggestions? Thanks. |
