| Alarm siren
Hi all, hope you can help a desperate lady! We have a 320i 1993 which has a flat battery. I have put it on a trickle charger which is designed for use when the car is in storage, but the dash alarm light is flashing and the alarm making a low whirring noise. There is a key fitting to the sounder which can be turned on and off but I can't find a photo anywhere which shows the correct position for off. I believe I turned it off some time ago in case the battery went flat, so would it be making a noise just because the battery is very low?
I have a BMW battery with indicator, which is just showing a black outer ring - does this ring any bells with anyone? Would be grateful for any help!!!
Forgot to add that the red dash light is flashing and car not locked.
