Just reprogrammed a remote for 96 328is. On the keyless remote it locks and unlocks fine. But after I lock it and then it DBLK button on the three button remote, it beeps then after 5-7 sec it beeps again and the alarm goes off. Tried searching thur the forum, could not find anything. Any ideas?
1) I think the "switch in the glove box" that you're looking for is actually the control box that is located BEHIND the glove box (gotta take the golve box out to get to it). There are switches on this control box that allows various options to be turned on/off such as glass breaking sensitivity and horn/siren use for the "beeps".
2) I think Cruzin 323is may have hit the nail on the head with your original problem. One of the door sensors thinks that the door's open, when it's not. You probably temporarily re-aligned the sensor (banged the door closed a couple of times!). I'd wager that your problem will probably come back.

No squeaks or rattles... unreal!

If it is the alarm control box you are talking about...in my car it is below the glove box...I ran across it (ie. it fell on my head) while I was replacing the microfilter. Not sure if this is the case for everybody, but no sense in taking the glove box out if you don't have to.
I agree, must of been a door problem. here is the missing switch I am talking about, but maybe it is not a switch, maybe it is a light. I know nothing about this 328s life before I got it, and don't even have owner manuel yet. So maybe it a switch for the cloaking device, that the first owner installed. Who knows.
