Air Ride Suspension For An E36??

hey i was just looking up some suspension compenents and i was taking a look at air ride suspension since i saw it on the speed channel and i was wondering if they made an air ride suspension for an e36..i think it would be very conveniant except for the space the compresser would take up but it sure would be nice to adjust the ride height and quality at the touch of a button..

sounds like a job for a custom shop , i havent seen any type of kit or whatnot.

u mean hydrolics??? i allways though there was universal kits made for cars in certain weight ranges... a lot of research involved with this... def a custom shop job.. as furious said..

hydraulics and pneumatics (air) are different. They both can do the same thing, but hydraulics have more power than pneumatics in most cases and are much stiffer. Airbags provide a nice smooth ride but just arn't that good.

I don't think he was looking for some ghetto cruising air bags, I think he is looking for height adjustable air suspension like the Audi Allroad has among others.

It lets you lower the car a couple inches on the highway, and raise it up when you are going slower to avoid speed bumps, etc. Audi's system is speed sensitive, I have seen manually operated systems too.

At least I hope thats what you are talking about. If you want air bags you should have bought a 74 Cadilac or something :P

no i am not looking for hydrolics because i dont have a pimp ride with 100 spoke rims on it and what i am looking for is similar to what MrChance was talking about on audi's as my vw jetta has the same thing.. i was looking for somethig adjustable for performance on the track and to be able to adjust it to be street legal without having to pull out a wrench and pull out my rims..
