yeah and i replaced that resistor like 6 months ago, its a bitch to get in that position under your dash and im not a big guy

when the blower motor starts to go, it draws more current than it is speced for, which in turn blows the resistor faster than it should.

Since it's only about $30 for a new resistor, I would suggest replacing it again. If it blows in in less than a year, replace the blower motor and resistor.

You can usually find new blower motors on ebay for around $225. Places like bavauto also have them, but usually run around $300.

You guys are talking about 2 different parts here...the Final Stage Unit, and the fan resistor....don't confuse the guy....be clear about what you are saying when you are giving someone advice they might act upon....

I'm talking about the blower motor resister, the other guy was talking about the regulator. A bad motor can kill both though.
