Air Mass Flow Sensor - BMW Forum

Good afternoon/Evening to all.

I recently recieved a '93 325i. I had to got to another state to pick it up, runs great!

I noticed on the 800 mile drive home that the CEL was on. I paid no attention because the car was running smooth and figured I would look it up on the Net when I got home.

So I determined that the fault code was 1215 Air Mass Flow Sensor. I know have 3 questions and probably more when I received the help I believe you all could give.

1. Will this cause a failed emissions test?
2. Can someone tell me where the location of this sensor is so I can attempt to clean it (as mentioned in another thread)
3. Does anyone have a diagram for the mechanically challenged?

#1 in the link below is the MAF, 2 clamps & its off.......& you will fail inspection with the CEL on......
