Air Conditioner

Hi All,

I was wondering if you could help me...
for some reason when I put the heater on cold, and put the switch to blow above in the windshield, it blows hot air. if I switch to blow frontal or at the legs it goes back to cold air.

Why is this happening? it does not make any sense!

Also what is the best way to diagnostic the problem of the air conditioning. It is not working. I know from other type of cars that even if you don't have freon in the installation you can still hear the compresor trying to connect and then you know you need to refill the system.
could it be an electrical problem?

I think the window button is set up to blow hot air. Let me try it out myself and I will let you know if mine does the same.
