AIR BOX DEBAFFLE *help please*

Hi everyone.

I'm new to this...yeah i'm a newbie...but i have a question....

Okay...so i've read tons and tons of DIY on how to debaffle the airbox. I was on a e36 DIY site and found the DIY, but the pics in the DIY shown didn't appear to be the same as my car used: : http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=189790 used:

So I have a 1996 328i....can someone PLEASE help me on how to debaffle my airbox? I hear good things about it...sO i wanna try it out too...thanks guys.

Yeah, thats not our car. I'll look for some pics for you, if I cant find any I'll take some of mine. Doing the debaffle along with the butterfly valve mod the car really sounds great

You'll have to take it off by unscrewing the silver bolt (in front of the strut tower) and removing it from the rest of the intake. Once you have it out, take out the filter and you will see the baffle in there:

It is only held in by a tab that you will have to pry off with a screw driver. That's it, sorry I dont have step by step pics but at least you'll know what the baffle looks like when you open up the box. Have you done the butterfly valve mod yet? Go here for that:

I really noticed the difference after I disconnected the butterfly valve, two of the cheapest mods you can do.

Yo thanks fredo328!!!!!! i did it all in like...5 mins. good stuff. i don't hear much of a sound difference in the airbox, but i can hear a lil rumble to my muffler. i love mods that require no money or not that much money! thanks again.
