I have a 1994 325 that once you start the engine, the Air Bag light light will stay on for 60-90 seconds after starting. It will then go off and not come on again while the engine is running.
Does anyone know why it is staying on so long, or what should be checked?
The most common cause for an SRS light that either will not turn off or that stays on for about two minutes everytime you stat the car is a faulty seat belt latch sensor. BMW does not offer a separate sensor, so to fix the problem you must replace the entire latch assembly.
