air bag light - BMW Forum

i took the dash pod out to change a blown buld, and after i put it back in the air bag light started playing up . it does the usual 6 second test when u start the engine then goes out and then instantly comes back on for 60 seconds and then goes out for the rest of the journey it does this every time you start it? anyone know what its trying to tell me?

I used to have a problem with the Air bag light... where it didnt turn out after 6 secs.. it used to take about 30 secs...
It turned out to be that the Seat belt tensioner (part of the SRS system) was faulty and needed replacement... that costed abt $230 @ Passport BMW, MD.
To determine the cause they first had to run a diagnostic on the car... so maybe you can get that done...
