If you want to go completely safe, go to pep boys and buy

Sylvania SILVERSTARS. they are very white and are light the road very well, with very little yellow tint (if any at all).

How much does he want to spend? Does he want HID lights or just regular halogens?

I hear ya. Let me know your price range and I can hook you up with my brother. He can get stuff super cheap because he gets wholesale from most retailers. Visit his website at www.importsedge.com

i have silverstars... they are white with a little bit of a blue tint, nothing like a ricer blue tint though. I paid $36 for a set of 2. I heard the PIAAs were good too, they are around $28 for a set of 2 at autozone.
