Advice For Possable Purchase

I need to get a new car because right now i am driving an '86 Mercedes 300SDL and a '84 500SEL. I dont have a family and am in need of a sports car. My first thought was BMW because I used to own a '82 6 series and I loved it.

Now for the part that i need help, I have found in my area a '96 328is with 98k miles on it. The guy is asking $7800 for the car, but it has a salvage title on it. The kelly blue book value for it is at $8000 for a good condition with a clean title. The car is extremely clean now, as clean as a car with a salvage title could be, I fell in love with it. What would be a good price to pay for this? Because I know that I wont be paying anywhere close to $8000 for a car with a salvage title.

Oh yeah, sorry forgot about that part.

It had some front pasenger side corner damage

thats a 8000 doller risk your taking. you never know who fixed it and if the parts were bmw parts or aftermarket. take it to a bmw dealer and ask a mechanic to check it out. also try to lower the price if you can.

that is my biggest question, how much should i offer him for it? I shure as hell wouldnt pay 8 grand for that

then find a different car. i sure there are more 96 3 series out there.
