I cant figure out how to adjust the height of my steering wheel in my 94 325i. It seems like this would be a logical feature for the car to have, but I cant seem to find it. Am I overlooking something, did these cars come with adjustable steering wheels, or is something broken?

I feel you. I brought this 96 328is 2 weeks ago, I just noticed last week I don't have tilt.

For a luxury car you would think tilt would be a stock option.

You have heated seats and mirror, automatic temperature control, electric windows, alarm, cruise control, CD Changer in trunk but no adjustable steering wheel...

I had the same surprise on my 98 318i !!

thats odd, i have adjustable on my steering wheel, its a small lever located on the bottom left side of the wheel. pull it down and adjust. if you dont have it than you dont have it. btw its only vertical adjustment, not telescoping.

It was a very very rare thing to have. I've not seen an E36 with tilt steering ever. My mechanic who worked for a BMW stealerhip in the mid 90's only recalls seeing a very small handful with it if any.
