AC Malfunctioning - BMW Forum

So my wife borrows my car for a few days...I get it back and the AC is acting up...

ghead. It's real strange...it's still blowing real cold, but only blows on high regardless of the setting...it also stays on for about 10 seconds AFTER I shut it off completely...when I shut it off I can actually hear something closing inside the dash, and the AC finally shuts off, but I can still hear something blowing inside there. WTF!!! BTW, it is a digital climate control unit. Any one have any ideas on what is going on? Thanks as usual fellas!

Oh yeah, I know...What was I thinking letting her drive my car!!!!

awwww yea you should never let a female drive your car WATE WHAT AM I SAYING never let a female that doesn't know anything about cars drive you car

as for this female I always end up fixing my b/f's cars after THEY break them

as for the AC thing never heard of it, thats really stange thou

I guess the decision to put red neon under your seats trumps my AC malfunctioning huh...

i know man,
neons seem to be more imp than ac these days... i had a similar prob that i posted yesterday and i got one reply... i don't know what's happening to this world...

perhaps its a relay of some sort. i know my car will have the vents reset after i shut down the car i do hear something reseting but as for it blowing after car is shut down

used sorry this is just an idea.

Thanks for the reply. It actually isn't blowing after the car is off, but I can hear something still blowing after the AC is off...I made an appointment with the stealer...we'll see...I'll let everyone know what happens...I know there's a few people that might be interested...although not as sexy as neons

definitely post your findings... also if if you get a chance can you ask them what would cause it to shut down when going over a bump and turn back on after goin on another bump...

I will....its not a BMW dealership though...I bought it at a Saturn dealership...so if they can't fix it they will bring it next door to the BMW dealership, and I dont and won't talk to those F'in A-holes because I can't stand them.

But I'll ask the dude whats up with that...it seems like it might be a short though...
