ac acting up

my ac is acting funny.. when i have the ac on speed 1 or 2 and i go over a bump, the ac shuts off... when i go over another one, sometimes it turns back on... or if i increase the speed to four it turns on again and then i can set it again to whatever speed i want until another freakin' bump comes...
it seems like a loose connection somewhere? or is it?
where can i start looking? anybody had similar probs?

I'm not too familiar with the earlier 36s... but if you dont have a Bently manual.. or something that is equal too... you should!.. You might want to see if you can pull the control panel out and check behind there... mostly for a grounded out wire.. exposed wire touching anything... best bet would be to find the compressor... and behind that.. towards the rear of the car.. there should be a few wires going to the rear... that is what controls the power to that compressor... the exact location is beyond me right now.. sorry.. but I know what it looks like... sorry if I'm not much of some help.. but it does sound like a grounded wire or something of the sort. i recently installed a changer in my car... and to do that i removed the rear seat and am pretty sure i touched a couple of wire to see which one it was... mayb that caused it... u said u knew which wire it is, can you please describe it and its exact location... if you have pics that would be awesome but if not a description i think would suffice...
