ABS Warning light

Again something unusual is happening with my E36 94 318i at 245000kms. The orange ABS warning light is that looks like a handbrake symbol with ABS written inside, is illuminating in dash. Have been told that this indicates the brake pads need replacing- have done all 4 wheels recently brake rotors/discs only 10000kms ago. This light does not illuminate at all times, sometimes just after starting the engine, other times after driving 5 - 10 mins while other times does not illuminate at all!! Can anyone suggest a cure??

thats not your pads! it means the ABS system is experencing an Error... usually a Wheel speed sensor.... i Sugest unplugging you ABS comp and clean the connector really good! that fixed my 740's for good!

In the case of my E30, it can mean the brake fluid needs to be replaced.
