Here's one, I start the 323is 98 and the abs light goes on, but when i step on the brake, my radio cuts off.... what do you guys think?

I'll try and change the front rotors and pads.

sounds more of an electrical problem other then rotors and pads...

Aftermarket radio or stock? Recommend you save the money on rotors and pads and get your fault codes read. I can't imagine what ABS and the sound system have in common, but identifying and solving the ABS issue would be a good place to start.

Lets try tackling this problem through elimination.

My ABS light came on recently as well and I found this link:

I replaced the relay and the light went away and my ABS is working fine.

As for the radio, my now sold 1994 e36 318is had the same problem. My cousin is a car audio tech and he simply pulled the radio and checked the connections. Turned out to be a bad ground (bad connection).

Just my two cents.

Well here it is.... I started my car after all that crap and my battery was dead.. so i jumped it and drove around the block,, and the car went dead

: got the battery checked that was good,, so i assume its the alternator, got a new one today, I'll put that in... Yea my cluster was going crazy too... ABS, ACS ect.... I'll let you know... maybe since there was a fault the system shut done things that wernt really being used at the time... I'll let you know how it comes...
