Ive got a 1998 bmw 32i, i have problems starting the car in the morning when the weather is cold but once the car has started i dont have any problems all day. ive hered it could be cuz the fule injectors might be dirthy and additives are needed to clean them. do these care have the engine heating blocks??? and where would the cord for it be so i can plug it in? thankz im new to this and this is the 1st bmw i have owned. by the way this car was in storage for the past four year and has only been used daily starting october.

a couple things i forgot to mention are, prior to this car being put in storage it was only driven 5000 miles it was bought new and 6 months later it was put in storage.
i havent done a tune up on it yet, but is it necessary since the milage is under 10,000?? the only thing that was done after it was taken out of storage this year was just a oil change and coolant flush.
any advice guys?
should i change the fuel filter?, wires? air filter? spark plugs? or is there any thing else dat needs to be changed as well?
the fuel injectors might be dirty what could i do about dat?
im a total newbie and this is the first car ive owned. hers a pic of my baby

I had a similiar problem with my car. It ended up being something like there wasn't enough spark at 400rpms which is when the car actually fires. you might want to check your plugs or change your oil. those things worked for me and I haven't had the problem since. went to synthetic and put in better plugs.
mine does that a little bit too. when i first start it up cold, it complains for a second, a little sputter here and there, no biggie but kinda embarassing

AMG can't build an NA engine that can compete with M engines, so they stick in a supercharger and say their cars are faster. BMW could simply do the same, but they don't out of principle.</span>
i got a tuneup done yet the car hasnt been able to start. the sparkplugs wont spark, they wont fire! they were replaced with the tuneup. ive hered it could be the camshaft sensor? or maybe the crankshaft sensor ? any one hered of this b4? i need this car runnin asap!

I am no expert by far, but I work with a very knowledgeable mechanic who is helping me solve this very problem. I am hearing that the cold weather starting problem may be linked to the idle control valve sensor. DO not quote this, but the part effecting the air/fuel intake is effecting the mixture. Carbon may cause the valve to remain open or stay closed, therefore allowing more air in/more fuel in, much like a butterfly on a carb. It is my understanding that this part is easily removed by one bolt, then cleaned out by B12 Chemtool like substance, then place back on. If this does not fix it, check the hard, plasticc tubes going into the air intake for leaks. I hear these models are synonymous for this.
I just purchased my '96 328i a few months ago have literally loved it. Nothing compares to it. And the price I paid for it.....
i just got my car back fom the garage and the problem was small and simple there was a problem with the grounding the mechanic told me. it was an electrical problem he charged me 80 cuz it took time to find it but its way better then what the dealer would of charged me
