I have a '98 323is Series and last year in the start process and eventual turning process, I got this screaming/grinding noise that lasted about a minute or so.

I took the car to the shop and they told me I was out/low of power steering fluid. They filled it up, problem solved.

The same noise seems to be starting again. Can't imagine this thing used that much fluid in one year!? Anyone have any power steering fluid problems, loss (parts issues) that are notable on this model series?

lol. the power steering resevior always leaks on BMW's , for some stupid reason BMW uses these shitty little clamps to clip the hose to the feeder . mine leaks very slowly but it does leak, (nothing to worry about) check to see if your leaking any.
