98 318is performance chip. Any advice??

Well as you can tell im thinking of chipping my motor, do you have any advice?

I ve looked at John Conforti and Shark Injectors and still not made any decision.

Question...Does a chip really make a noticeable difference with a 318 as ive been told they are difficult to get the power out of in the low rev ranges?

I have a cold air induction kit and stainless free flow scorpion exhaust system.

Thanks

Go for a remap of the ECU that will gain you some BHP and take out dead spots in acceleration, just punch in to google BMW remapping.

Nah, not finished yet, getting a remap next week!!!, If you just look at google one will come up, or put in car remapping Birmingham, thats what I did and got one in the next town, there is also a company that comes to your house or work and does the job.

I presume its just a laptop job and some fuker ripping you off for 10 mins work.

Have you ever heard of tuning software that you can administer yourself ?

I know a few guys at BMW and might be able to get it done through them.

I dont really know whats involved or whether it is that hard to do, even if you have the kit and software?

what you reckon?
