97 E36 won't start due to moisture?

Hello-I've owned a 97 328 with 95,000miles for all of 3 weeks. The car had been running like a champ until Sunday morning. The engine turned over and ran for 3 seconds then cut off. It would not start again for some reason. (will turn over fine, but not catch) It rained really hard Friday and Saturday, so I'm wondering if I'm having some sort of moisture problem in a sensor or computer? Thanks for any help!

Some models have problems with leaves plugging the drain holes around the DME (ECU), causing them to flood. They're usually on the passenger side under the cowl, accessible under the hood. Do a search for more details and what to do if that's the problem. Just my $.02.

Cosmos schwartz metalic Sparco strut brace factory X-brace 55w 6000k HID w/LED angel eyes smoked Lamin-X blacked out sidemarkers, tails and brakelights. DDM smoked corners and pedals. 35% tint all around, Prosport water temp and oil pressure gauges, Home Depot lip, M3 rear diffuser ASC-T delete.
