Hey, just bought a 96' 328i sport, looking to get some power gains, so induction and exhaust are first on my list.
interested to see what people think is the best option, for sound aswell as performance - heard supersprint are good?? and in terms of induction, pannel rather than cone, due to high 'under bonnet temps??? just things i heard, thought i would put it to the people who know best.....

Thats what the numbers say though. From the feel of it, I wouldn't count on getting 20. It's worth it, you feel it, but not THAT much.
But yeah, it's worth it. *recommends*
I have no idea how you guys can spout off numbers like that, sharking is basically unoticable. Now, I know that every car that comes off the factory line is different, and I am sure everyone makes different gains from sharking, but don't kid yourself dude, you aren't going to notice a difference after you shark, ESPECIALLY not down low. It is nice to have your governor off though, and a shark in combo with intake+exhaust is going to give you a top speed of over 150 =)

Yeah, I guess it does depend on your car, but I had a very notible gain in my car. (we've been through this before, heh)
As for those numbers, I googled for the conforti shark injector and looked at the numbers on the first couple sites. I don't believe they are that high, but thats what the companies claim.
I just completed a new exhaust system by Ireland engineering who specialize in BMW perfomance. I have an Ireland catback exhaust that rumbles. I sound like an M3 coming down the road. I had never herd of this company until this exhaust was recommended to me by my performance dealer. The cost is 475.00 which is about what most exhaust systems cost. http://www.bmw2002.com/ This is their web site. I drive a 98 328is if that helps.

Just FYI most exhausts are priced between 600-800.
Paying 600-800 for exhaust is too much. If you don't know any better about the equipment you put on your ride, then yes you will spend that much. Been in the game long enough to know how much craftmanship is manufactured into the equipment that I put into my ride. Including exhaust! Besides that I just set off two car alarms tonight which really surprised me. I was only idling down the street. Not bad for a 328is.
