95' M3 Engine Swap

im trying to swap a 95' m3 engine in my 92' 325 E36. i just wanted to know if this was possible without having to change the wiring harness... please let me know if any of you have tried a swap similar to this. the reason im swapping is because the m3 is crashed, and the body on my e36 is pretty mint. thanks a lot guys

this is doable but you will need to upgrade your chip in order to match the cam timings and engine timing and what not. order one that is made for for a 95. problem is you might need a 413 dme unit too

well thats no problem, but do you think i would have to do anything with my wiring harness??

no not at all... as long as the engine is truly from a 95 you're set man. while you're add it, you should add a 3.5 MAF and cai and exaust.
