95 325is frustration

Hello folks I am new to the forum and would like to say HI!! My problem is that when I start my 1995 325is it runs great for about 2 min. and then starts to miss and idle up and down.I cleaned the air flow meter with the crc mass air flow meter stuff but it still does the same thing. It stops missing and idles great on and off. When I drive it it surges on me. Sometimes it has great power and sometimes it drags. Any suggestions?

Check the plastic parts of the intake ducts for cracks.

UPDATE: I just got a 1222 code by doing the gas pedal trick..As per the Bentley manual it means:Oxygen sensor lean/rich control stop. Corrective action:Check for intake air leaks or reasons for rich mixture. I'm going to Autozone to pick up some carb cleaner to see if I can isolate an air leak. What do you guys think. Has anyone gotten this code before?

I just sprayed starting fluid all around the intake manafold and the rubber boot. NOTHING!!! still getting a 1222 code. ANYBODY?????? I reved it up to 1500 rpm and keep the gas pedal steady. It would not stay steady at 1500 it would fluxuate. Any ideas anyone?????? Ruff idle and sometimes missing. Please HELP!!

Maybe a test with another airflow sensor.

Witeshark that is also what a mechanic friend of mine said. Now the only thing is how to get one fairly cheap. Any suggestions?? I've already invested in the intake boot,and the plastic peices that go in the boot.I took out the idle controll valve and cleaned it( it rattles good). Thanks!!!

I would check the fuel pressure if it is saying that its running rich you could have a stuck injector fooling a plug out, causing a miss and rough idle.

Mine had a rough-idle last month... Forgot to replace oil-filler cap after service Hahahaha.
I personally think it could be a vac leak !!
