| I have a 95 Convert which is only driven in the summer and has ONLY 40,000 miles on the clock. When shifting gears and even coasting with the engine off, I was hearing a very slight low thudding sound. I took it into the dealership who tell me I need a new tranny!! Big bucks!! Clutch and clutch release bearing are AOK. I am really po'd given the low mileage and the car is not driven hard.
Has anyone heard of problems with the standard transmissions in the 325I 1995 cabriolets? Not sure if it is the same tranny used in the hardtops?
