The 325i's came with 189 Bhp at the Crankshaft. Take away maybe 15% if you have the 5 speed manual, or 20 - 25% if you have the auto to see what you have at the back wheels...

| I got a 325 with 285@the ckank but @ the Wheels I got 201HP don't ever pay attention to magazines or factory specs they say wherever they think will make them sell more cars, take it to a dyno and find out first before you start spending money in you bimmer. |
280 BHp less 15% (5 speed manual) should be around 235 - 240 BHp at thr rear wheels. With an automatic, (280 less 20 - 25%) you should have around 210 - 225 BHp to the road. Only having 201 rear wheel Hp when you start with 280 BHp at the Crank is too little; unless for some reason, your transmission is about to fall off your car... If your drive train is eating up 79 BHp, then you better get a serious transmission oil cooler before your Trany MELTS!
If a 95 M3 with 240 BHp at the Crank goes 0 - 60 in 6.1 seconds (see link below), with 280 BHp at the crank you should be able to do 0 - 60 in maybe 5.4 - 5.7 seconds. How fast is your car in 0 - 60 times? If you really have 280 BHp at the crank, you will be faster than 6.1 seconds...
On a different note, check out the data for 0 - 60 and 1.4 mile times for 325i's and M3's (which had 240 BHp at the crank).
