95 318is #4 cylinder drops out sparratically

car runs awesome most of the time, for no reason it will start sputtering and lose #4 cylinder, (has good spark, great compression but no ignition on #4) sometimes for a minute, sometimes for 10 minutes, not good. if you rev the engine up its almost like it clears its throat and runs great again.................................is really annoying. there is no specific reason for it ie: temperature, rpms, etc as it happens out of the blue and very sparatically (hope thats spelled right) I really need some help here as it is driving me crazy..........................................tha nks for any info

Even though you have a good spark it can fail under pressure, try another plug, if not it maybe the lead or the the cap has a hairline crack.
