95 318i locking issues

i just bought a 1995 BMW 318i Sedan. I'm having an issue with the locks. When I unlock the driver side door only that door unlocks while the other 3 don't. I can't unlock the passenger side with the key. I saw that the fuse for central locking was blown so I replaced it. That didn't solve the problem. Also, the trunk wont lock, I've used the key to try to manually lock it but it wont work either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A first thought is that you're looking for a bit of worn wiring that's causing a short to the car's body work.

You probably have a problem with your door actuator. Its a little electronic box that converts an electrical signal into a mechanical action. The actuators have little micro switches that over time go bad. When one fails, it causes issues with the whole central locking system. The actual central locking Module, known as th ZKE is located behind the glovebox.
