can you put an audi cylinder head in a bmw?

Why would you want to?? Most Audi's are V slanted motors and thus, they wont fit.

someone told me you could ...im new to this so forgive my ignorance. Well I think my head cylinder is cracked, white smoke from exhaust, water under coil packs surrounding spark plugs. It's a 94 bmw 325i convertible.

You cant. But thats okay.

The white smoke is a common sign of a blown head gasket. Not nessicarily a cracked head. Check your oil, if it looks milky brown then you have coolant mixing with oil. To confirm for sure, gt a pressure test done.

If the head gasket is blown they will have to remove the head, and most likley machine it at which point the shop doing the work would inspect for cracks.

Theres nothing different about the oil, looks good. They said its a cracked head b/c the 5th and 6th spark plugs were bubbling water and full of it. Maybe they dont know what they are talking about and its just a head gasket, i bought a cylinder head just in case lol, thanx!

Woah, hang on. Did they says WATER, or OIL?? Its quite common for the Valve Cover Gasket (VCG) to crack and fail with age. The VCG is rubber and over time gets hard and brittle. This causes oil to pool in the spark plug wells. Not water.

There is oil, u can see it smoke and burn when.the engine warms up but yes theres def water in there too, ill post pics in a few

blah, didnt have time to take pics, but he hasnt put my new motor blower in, and the firewall cover has been taken off so im assuming the water in the spark plug wells is from the rain pouring down the windshield and onto the motor, b/c there is nothing there to catch the rain and make it drain down the sides.

Is the car driveable? Under normal cirumstances their shouldnt be water in the plug wells as the Coil packs seal them up. Is the car sitting outside without the hood on or something?

Yes its driveable, no the hood is on ...so im not sure, but there was def water in the wells b/c i cleaned them out myself.

Were the coil packs in place when you cleaned em out? I would definitley look into getting it pressure tested to make sure the head gasket is still intact.
