My 94 325is has stock 189 HP. With a conforti chip and intake installed how much horsepower does the E36 now have? I heard the chip adds 20hp, but I am guessing its around 11. Does anyone know if its in the 200's? 215's?

187 rwhp?? on just an intake and chip? Not calling you a liar, but on bf.c 325's with light-weight flywheels, pullies, track pipes, custom software, M3 cams..basically every bolt on possible run dyno's at 190rwhp.
His non-vanos motor has hotter cams so with the intake mod Id imagine he would get more power. But 187 at the wheels with simple bolt ons. Could be posisble if its one of those factory freak motors.
yeah, some cars react to mods much better than others , dont look at it as engine types, sometimes engines have variables that can account for the difference in dyno numbers, (for instance youll see for most websites they post highs and lows on gains because they average it out from the lowest and highest for each car.
chips realistically only gain around 11ish to the crank not 20 like they say, and intake will gain you id guess around 4-5 to the crank .. only a guess however.
Ballzack from bimmerforums.com got his car dyno'd at stock for and put out 230 hp. I couldnt believe it. I know the LTW's are supposed to be the pick of the crop, but whta a lucky bastard!

Makes sense now..if you read the small blue lettering above the graphs it says "fly wheel power.." this is not 187 to the wheels. It's 187 at the crank..

nope it was 187 to the wheels, we asked the dyno staff, if anything its like 7 high so im only running 180 rwhp
