94' 325is hesitation

Does anyone have a clue why the power falls off, short of the redline during hard acceleration, the car has no mods.

It's just the way it is. Does it stop pulling around 6200?

Yeah it's normal, it's just the top end running out of steam. A performance chip make it pull to 6500 really well but my car still drags to 7k.

Does the chip elimination this problem, as far as fuel delivery. I want to figure this out before my upgrades this upcoming week. It seems to fall off as soon as I come off the clutch after shifting, when I press the pedal to the floor, the power dies

Well wait. Few questions.

Has the car always done this since you've had it?
How long have you had the car?
How many miles are on the car?
Have you noticed any metalic grinding type noise from the engine bay?

Its got about 100k, the cam chain seems to be alittle loose

Cause it could be a bad vanos unit. Try starting the car and putting a long screwdriver on the vanos cover then listening for a grinding type sound. That's about all I know though, I don't have vanos so I don't really worry about it.

What is a venos unit????? I am new and looking for a nice 325 or 328
