I just bought a 94' 325is and i was driving it the otehr day. Just as i was about to turn back onto the highway i lookes down and saw that the water temp was real high. So i pulled into a Shell gas station and saw that the radiator neck where the hose clamps onto was broken. Is this a common occurence?

For some reason (i guess cost of manu.) the radiator and water pump on most of the e36 cars should be replaced upon purchase. These are inherent problems on an otherwise awesome car...
http://www.fluidyne.com/
doesn't seem to have BMW radiators on their site... Not a problem because I don't need one but this just may require a call or finding of a dealer...
OEM is ok, but i've always TRIED (can't always afford) to upgrade a replacement part. In your case a Behr of Nissens will run you about $200.00US (HERE) or if you want something nice, AATuning will be about twice as much (HERE).
007, fluidyne is great, but a little rich for my blood (HERE)
But the thought of replacing the cooling system is being entertained for a summer project. new waterpump, radiaor, thermostat (maybe the housing as well)..
