94 318i help

I've got a 94 318i with 109k on it. The problem I'm having is that the car misses throughout the power band, it has had problems with the idle going up and down. The wierd thing is that i can be driving along and the car is going fine then all of a sudden when i hit the gas it will start missing like it is on 3 cylinders. I've checked the plugs to see if i had an injector leaking or something and all the plugs look good. Any ideas what the could be?

You may have a bad MAF, also check all air intake hoses for leaks, it may also be a fuel problem, have yoiu changed the fuel filter in the last 10,000 miles.

unlpug maf with car on see if there is a difference also spray starting fluid on vacuum lines if it changes in one spot you got a leak lastly check the idle control valve its prob stuck there a diy on cleaning it good luck!!!!
