| 93 E36 Won't Start About a month and a half ago my 325I decided to stop starting. I have replaced the Starter and have bypassed the Ignition Switch (ignition Barrel where the key goes broke on me the last time I tried to start it). I hit the Momentary Switch and get the Starter to click but it doesn't even try to kick over the motor.
I have been fighting it for the past couple of days that I have been seriously trying to get the car running again and it is driving me insane. I need to get this car on the road again so I can actually afford to go to work. (my other car is a gas guzzler.)
I have checked every electrical connection I can think of and Nothing. The only other thing that is driving me bonkers is there is a brown wire coming off the Ignition Switch that every time I run power to it from the Ignition Switch it gets the wire extremely hot, that in one place it melted the Casing, and smokes like Hell. Can anyone tell me what this wire does and if I need it to actually run the car. (I don't have it hooked up anymore to keep it from burning the car down. |
