Hello, this is my 1st time to this board so if anything has been mentioned in the FAQ's that i ask just give me a slap and point me in the direction
Ive just bought a 93' 318i, its got 85k miles on the clock and a full BMW service history, i have a few questions though:
Being registered in late August 93' i am assuming that it has the M40 cambelt driven engine, and not the M42(?) chain driven engine, now other than needing the cambelt replacing every 30k miles or so, is there anything else i should be especialy worried about going wrong with it that i could pick up on early enough if there are certain signs?
Also is there anything in particular i should be looking out for that could go wrong with a car of this milage (even though its FBMWSH and done far less than avg miles for the year)?
Obviously i want to enjoy owning my 1st BMW (its a big jump from a pegeout 106 independance, and one im thrilled to take!) so if anyone has any advice for me id greatly appriciate it no end.
