92 325i MAF swap possible?

ok, here is the deal. I have a 92 325i and my MAF is bad, car will only run with it unplugged.

I have a 97 318i parts car with a good maf

is there ANY way to make the 318i maf work on my 325i?

the 92 is kind of a screwed up year for the 325i, and the ONLY maf that is plug and play if from another 92 325i or 92 525i from my understanding.

Also, I dont know if it makes a difference, but I have a Dinan DME

If anyone has the proper maf, I would gladly buy it off of you!

The reason their not interchangeable is because a 97 is OBDII where as your 92 is OBDI. Unfortunately you will need an OBDI MAF.

Could i make a 4 pin obd1 maf work on my 5 pin system? I have a lead on one from a 92 325is, but it isnt the same as mine.

I have never heard of t being done before. But I also don't think it will work. It would throw a code and the car probably won't run right.
