Hey everyone,
New to the forum, sorry... Anyways, I just recently saw a 92 325i for sale on my route home from work... Checked it out, car looks to be in great condition, everything is mint, it was stored in the winter, new brakes/discs, exhaust, theres a 1" suspension kit on there... its got 170,000 miles however. I guess it was stored in the winter and whatnot, but... I'm a little leary as to how well it will hold up, and how much repairs will pan out to cost over the few years. Thanks in advance.

Pass.. Too much of a risk.. unless you've got the dough to fix it.

I bought my '92 in October and it had 120,000 miles and was in great condition all stock. I paid 4400.00. Since then I have replaced the original radiator (plastic), brakes, and just recently my A/C compressor went out and here in Palm Springs, the temp is 125 in the summer and the compressor will cost 250.00 for a remanufactured. Other than that and some electrical mishaps I love it and would never sell......Hope that helps

Cheers Dan

Well, I'm going to offer him $2500... the bank will give me $5500 for it, so I figure that extra $3000 should cover any big or small problems for the next few years. He's asking $5500 right now... heh, I dont think there's any way he'll get that much

5500 is way too much. Thats alot of risk with so many miles. I doubt he's gonna drop the price 3k though. If you can get it for like 3 or 3.5 then maybe if it checks out good.
