'87 325i vs 325is My 325is is going away. It has been a wonderful ride but it's prime has passed, the kiss of death was the loss of compression in the first cylinder. This on top of numerous other issues, body cancer and suspension leave me little choice but to bid adieau to her. As luck would have it, I found and within the last hour, purchased another '87 but this one is a 325i version, no "s". It's in fantastic condition and it has a manual tranny. Besides the obvious differences in body style between the "i" and the "is" what are the differences and should I be robbing any parts from the 325is to install on the "i" and maybe enhance the "i" before I part ways with my old 325is?
I will be donating the "is" to charity, but before I do, are there any parts I should pull, low hanging easy access plums, which may have value to me in the future or on ebay? |
