I got my first ticket today. I was passing a celica and he diped so i riped it and passed him.(i couldnt bow down to a celica!) Apparently there was a cop a couple cars back. I was doin 80 and the cop came up on me at about 120 id say. It was f**cking crazy! $142 dollars later i was on my way. God damn sherifs! He kept trying to get me to admit i was racing that guy. haha. I wasnt racing him i was just passing him i said and he kinda smiled. haha. He was like theres to many cars on the road for that kinda driving and you were going way to fast. Didnt help my proof of insurance was expired! I was pisssed when i found that out. i got a ticket for that to but he said if i go to court and show them my proof of insurance theyll drop it to just a speeding ticked. Im dissapointed that i didnt see the cop but shit happens.

Pay more attention next time. Good thing it's your first, you will probably end up with driving school or community service.

Yeah... could be worse. I was pulled over going 115 in a 45... At least you weren't thrown in jail.

that sucks... make sure u plead no guilty, and get some kind of a plea bargin, they will reduce the MPH and prolly less$ on the ticket...
Not to mention, you will prolly get atleast 4 points on your license

It doesnt hurt my insurance cause it a first offence. It cost the same if im going 5 over or 30 over as long as you dont double the speed limit or go over 100mph. I looked into it and im gonna be fine. And as if i wasnt mad enough that i got pulled over but on my way home some stupid kids threw somthing at my car and it bounced off my winsheild. I Turned around and looked for them a couple times. I was ready to beat some ass for sure. Sorry about the sig. I just wont use it anymore if its a big deal. I cant resize the pic.

Sorry to hear that. Count yourself lucky. Up here that's a $250 fine and 4 points. I got pinned for 190Km/h in a 100 km/h zone... about a $600.00 fine. Ten more kms and my car would have been on a tow truck and my ass in a police car. I've learned to slow down, choose my moments and got me a good lawyer. We get together with a few buddies up here and get some track time that way we can only hurt ourselves.

How does it work for you guys? If you plead not guilty is the waiting period long before trial? And how many points can you get before they take away your license?

$142 for 25 over the speed limit? I have a friend who got a $280 ticket for 82 in a 65.....

Hmm, that happened to me to. I was pissed off at something at work and was passing somebody and I got a 77 in a 40. Suits me right for being stupid like that. But if you don't want tickets or to lessen the chance, get both a radar detector and a laser jammer (also called shifter). Be careful as the jammer is illegal but u got a better chance of not getting a ticket.
