Im looking at the specs for 1993 BMW 3-Series on msn autos msn autos and it shows the 325ic as having a manual transmition with overdrive. Can someone tell me what this is? :confused

that's the passing gear ... it doesn't make sense for a manual tranny to have overdrive ... could be a typo ... maybe it meant manual overdrive as opposed to manual transmission with overdrive?
overdrive is used on automatics and reduces the RPM to conserve gas and put less wear on the engine.
