This weekend I plan on doing some work to my 98' 318ti. I get parts from the dealer for alot less than retail for example a part that retails for $125 I get for $80
The car just turned 36,000 miles so I plan on doing the following
1. Change the oil/filter Mobile 1 full synthetic grease all fittings
2. Clean the throttle body and idle speed control valve
3. New air filter (till I get my intake)
4. New PCV valve
5. New Spark plugs
6. New Fuel filter
7. Rotate tires/ check air pressure/ check spair
I will probably change the rear differential fluid a little later on
Is there anything else that you would add to the list?
Goto the faq's ... there is a list of all the inspection 1 and 2's. checklists.

Cool thanks for the info. I got my fuel filter today $19.50 and I have to pick up plugs tomorrow. I have been having a rough idle lately, and on the 318ti engine there is a motor on the side of the intake manifold that is making a noise so that will be replaced aswell.
When I bought this car everyone told me I was nuts and that repairs are going to cost an arm and a leg, but from what I have expierenced so far they aren't anymore expensive than any other car that I have owned. Plus I find BMW's fairly easy to work on, unlike some american cars.
