328i Asc Warning Light Is On!

hi guys, just bought a drop dead gorgeous 328i sport coupe and am well impressed! but if i give it some gas the ASC light comes on and stays on untill i switch the engine off and then on again!? it wont turn off even if i push the ASC button. whats goin on? any suggestions would be great!.. cheers

your probably gunna have to bring up the codes... but that all depends on the year of the car

According to the manual, the module is bad. The test equipment goes beyond the check engine code reader. You may have to use a knowledgeable mechanic or the BMW dealer.

i had the problem just recently of my acs not turning on, check your throttlebody and make sure the tranction control wire harness is properly put in. Mine was just dangling there the last time i checked, which can happen when your pushing your car a lot. i bet it just popped loose

its a 1998 model. i think i'll take it to the garage and get them to plug it into their machine and have a look. cheers guys!
