328/m3 Shift Lever

understeer.com suggests to use a 328/m3 shift level to reduce the throw by 33% on my 96 318is. has anyone undertaken the task to see if this worked or how hard it was to do?

if so.. wat other than the shift lever was needed?

so you are asking if you put on a different shift knob, will you have a Short throw shifter? i wouldnt think so... spend the money and get a SSK

Its not a different nob.. its a different lever.. and yes.. it will reduce your throw... but wont be as tight and smooth as many brand name bearing shifters...
