Jow D.

The IS is something we don't use here in Europe. US typical thing.
Stands for sportpackage or something.

It doesn't have more bhp then a normal 325i or 328i.

325i---->192bhp
328i---->193bhp

Also same for the IS here in Europe.

US models got a lil less I believe about 184BHP

Hey!

Cool, more people from European! :) I thought this is an american board!
Nice to see you! :)

Thanks for your postintg! I thought that BMW build specialcars for USA! But it´s only a "trick"?! BMW try to insert the "s" for more sport in their cars! Nice!

But I think that a BMW is one of the most sportly car in the world! Okay don´t see on a Ferrari! :)

bye, Dennis

Hi Everyone!

The "s" over here (U.S.) was only added to distinguish the "i" sedan (saloon) models from the "is" coupe models... It has nothing to do with sport packages.....

odd, tho, e36 cabrios were left with the "i" designation.

Just thought I would clear that up...
