325i vs m3 chasis diffrences

what are the big diffrences in the chassis layout of a 95 m3 and and a 325. i thought that they were both built on the e36 chassis. one woiuld think that the only diffrences are in the engine. however that is not the case i can find a quad tip exhasust for the m3 but not for the 325 would it work on the 325i since it is a n e36 or is something layed out in the chassis diffrent. also m3 fenders would they fit on a 325 because it is on the same chassis i don't understand the real big diffrence betwwen an m3 and a 325i

The e36 m3 did not have a quad exhuast, however the (95) 96+M3 exhaust will work on a (235) 328.

The fenders will fit but really are not much different, only slightly wider, The same look could be acheived by rolling.

ilike the vents that they have so did u just misspell that and are saying that i cpould proobly bye an exhaust for an m3 and it would fit on a 325

the e36 M cars do not have the fender vents.

And no, I didn't misspell that. What I said was the (95) 96+M3 exhaust will work on a (235) 328.

The 96+ M3 was OBDII, and therefore used two o2 sensors, whereas the 95 and earlier are OBDI and only have a precat o2 sensor.

Sorry Buuhh, it looks like everybody forgot to mention that you are talking about the e46 325 and M3. This is the e36 forum. Everything The President has said is refering to the e36.

The E36 M3 exhaust will fit a 325. I got one on mine.
The quad setup on the E46 M3 will NOT fit the E36 325.

El Presidente: What is the (235) you mentioned?

Not to mention the body is different.

The chasis is the same, the body lips, fenders are widder, rims, interior seats, and side skirts are different.
