I was test driving a 325I auto The car kept on boging down from 1500rpm to 2500rpm and it would clear-up till the rpms droped to 1500 rpm. Any thoughts

Could be a lot of things: Spark Plugs, Fuel Filter, Air Filter (not likely), Catalytic Converter, etc. This is where records come into play, and why I always recomend not buying a car without them.
