Zionsville sells the 2.8 Stroker, so ask them what their kit produces hp wise... Then figure out what ppl usually get when they add the S50 cams and add that on?

i did ZM say 235, there kit is worth 22 cams are woth 20 a chip at least 5 so 47 total 239hp...... so kinda i guess... i want to achieve n/a US spec m3 power can this be done.... addition of exhaust, CAI, BBTB.... does anyone know?

Are those figures at the crank or wheel? I'm assuming crank.

M3s are 240 at the crank, so if you'll end up with 235-239 then you've basically made M3 power!

but isnt the usa m3 lame compared to our uk spec ones, surely your 240hp m3 would get killed by our 286hp 3.0 and 321hp evos.... what i want is to be able to hold my own against 3.0 m3's over here. Using my 325i without F.I. any recomendations?

Your profile at the side of the page does not indicate where you live, so being a majority North American board, I assumed the 240hp M3 model...

I'm going to say that you will never touch 321 crank hp with an M50 unless you go Forced Induction. It will also be quite difficult to reach 286 crank hp.

If you truly want those numbers, force induce or do an engine swap.

Thats 321 Brake Horsepower, not Wheel horsepower .... !

Hmmmmm... 280 hp NA. That is very ambitious. You would need to look into intake, cams, injectors, exhaust, of course software, and I am sure I am forgetting something. That will probably only give you US-M3 power, maybe a little bit more.

You're half right. US S50 engines, however, make more or less even numbers, so a tuned S50B30US is more powerful for the same HP than the Euro counterpart.
